The National Fitness Hall of Fame
To preserve and record the “History of Fitness,” recognize those, past and present, who created or are currently creating fitness history, and encourage individuals and families to adopt a fitness lifestyle to ensure the good health of our nation.
An individual or organization can be considered for Hall of Fame candidacy if they meet the minimum criteria listed below:
- 20 or more years of full-time services as a professional in the fitness industry
- The practice of "A Fitness Lifestyle"
- Genuine concern for the welfare of others
- A nationally recognized "Body of Work"
There are six induction catagories:
- Pioneers - Global Leader, Historical Figure, Industry Transforming Invention, etc.
- Educators - University Professor, Lecturer, Presenter, Writer
- Instructors - Trainer, Group Leader, Video/Infomercial Instruction, Entrepreneures, etc.
- Sports Medicine - MD, Chiropractor, Therapist, etc
- Celebrity Spokesperson - Actor, Professional Athlete, Journalist, etc.
- Organizations - Having a national following/membership and fellowship with other fitness organizations
